Loonland’s Dumont to head E1 Kids
Producer and distributor E1 Entertainment has hired former TV Loonland boss Olivier Dumont as managing director, E1 Kids.
Dumont will take charge of the division, which was created last year with the creation of E1 Entertainment and the subsequent rebranding of kids producer and distributor Rubber Duck to E1 Kids.
E1 Kids currently has a number of kids properties on the air including Peppa Pig, Humf and Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom.
Dumont, who will report to E1 Television CEO John Morayniss, had been managing director at TV Loonland for five years, which distributed series including Little Princess, before it went under. He will still oversee development and production at Frog Box, the company he set up after the demise of TV Loonland, which now has a distribution agreement with E1.
“With a wealth of experience in the production and marketing of kids content as well as licensing and merchandising, Olivier was the obvious choice to lead E1 Kids. His international experience will be especially useful as we strive to maximise the synergies among our London, Toronto and LA operations,” says Morayniss.
