Shine’s Metronome gets new boss
Shine has appointed Par Sundberg as the Stockholm-based president and CEO of Metronome Film & Television, the Nordic producer it acquired last September for US$88 million.
Sundberg is the co-founder of Scandi producer OTW, which he ran until last year. He is also the co-founder of Sweden-based digital marketing and social media company Buzzador.
“His drive is proven, his work with traditional and new media both inventive and profitable, and his track record in delivering creative content for broadcasters exemplary,” said Lis Murdoch, chairman and CEO of the Shine Group. “I believe he is perfectly placed to take the Metronome Group of companies to the next level of success and that he’ll contribute hugely to the Shine Group globally.”
Sundberg will report to Shine Group president Alex Mahon and start in the Metronome role in September. He replaces Mats Alders, who became chairman of the board at Metronome in March.
Metropnome is the largest production group in the Nordic region and comprises fifteen production brands including Meter Film and Television, Stockholm-Köpenhamn and Friday TV.
