BBC producer Santer sets up Kudos-backed indie
Former Eastenders producer Diederick Santer has launched his own independent production company after striking a deal with Kudos Film and Television.
The company – Lovely Day – will be run under the Kudos banner but will be majority owned and managed by former BBC producer Santer.
The indie will focus on producing returnable drama formats that can attract international partners.
Jane Featherstone, creative director, Kudos, said: “When we heard that Diedrick was considering setting up a drama outfit we leapt at the chance to be part of it.”
Santer was exec producer of soap opera Eastenders between 2006 and 2010 and also created online spinoff E20.
