BBC Worldwide taps AMC veteran for scripted division
BBC Worldwide has hired Vlad Wolynetz as senior VP of its scripted production division. He joins from US cable net AMC where he supervised production of series including Mad Men, Breaking Bad and Broken Trail.
Wolynetz starts at Worldwide next month and will join another recent hire Hugh Fitzpatrick, who was brought on board earlier this month from the William Morris Endeavor agency as VP, scripted programming. Both report to Julie Gardner who runs the scripted team.
Separately, Worldwide has recruited Matt Paice as executive VP, international production.
Paice, who previously worked at Zodiak Entertainment-owned UK indie producer Diverse and produced series including Beat The Star and Election, will take over the role from Colin Jarvis who is retiring later this year.
He will oversee format sales and will work closely with the company’s production arms in India, France, Germany, Canada, Australia and Argentina as well as partnerships in Brazil and Russia.
