Silverman and Engine go to Thumb War
Electus is producing a version of the Thumb Wars format with Engine Entertainment for the US market.
Electus, which is run by Ben Silverman, is pitching the show, an interactive treasure hunt, as a multiplatform proposition and the producers said they want to involve broadcast, advertiser and digital partners.
The original version of the Thumb Wars gameshow is produced by Stimulii and aired on South African public broadcaster SABC.
Ben Silverman, CEO of IAC-backed Electus, said: “Thumb Wars is a groundbreaking programme utilizing everyone’s most important means of communication and connection, their PDA’s. We will utilize our unique expertise in the digital age to marry this great content to consumers.”
The formats division of Chris Philip’s Engine Entertainment handles international distribution of the show.
