Moonscoop moves into live-action with Super Sportlets

Kids producer and distributor Moonscoop is launching its first live-action series, Super Sportlets. The 26x11mins show, which targets kids aged 5-to-9 years-old, is a coproduction with Holland’s Kid’s Workout Factory and Ireland’s Telegael.

The show, which is is live-action against CGI backgrounds, follows four aliens from Planet Sportus who are pursuing Rudy Rude, a baddie who wants to turn kids into couch potatoes. The sports-heavy series will feature well-known athletes.

The show will deliver in the second half of the year. Moonscoop will have full epsides to show buyers at MIP TV and is looking to find broadcast partners. Kid’s Workout Factory will handle distribution in the Benelux region.

Series producer Volkert Struycken said: “It’s awesome to shoot 26 green screen episodes in Hollywood. We are the first kids’ series from the Netherlands who have realized this.”
