KidsCo to ramp up original productions
KidsCo, the international kids channel, is set to ramp up its slate of original productions in 2010.
The broadcaster has also inked its first carriage deal in China with Shanghai pay TV platform Startime.
KidsCo, which was launched in September 2007 and is owned by NBC Universal, Cookie Jar Entertainment and Corus Entertainment, has found ratings success for its initial slate of original kids series including 13x2mins green animated series Boo and Me, produced by Malaysian production company Inspidea Sdn Bhd, and Markthree Media-produced arts and crafts series Jass Time!
Managing director Paul Robinson told TBIvision: “We will be doing much more original production in 2010 following the amazing success of Boo and Me.”
