Worldwide appoints new Indian production boss

BBC Worldwide has appointed Myleeta Aga as general manager and creative head of its Indian production unit.

Aga founded TV guide channel What’s On India and in her new role will oversee all of the Mumbai-based unit’s activities including the production of the local versions of formats Baby Borrowers for NDTV and The Fast and the Gorgeous for MTV.

Aga replaces Saul Nasse who is moving back to London to become controller of BBC Learning, with overall commissioning responsibility for all of the broadcaster’s learning programming. He has been running the BBC Worldwide Productions India office since 2007.

Aga, who has also served as executive producer at the Travel Channel in the US, reports to Colin Jarvis, director of international formats for BBCWW.
