Fox Int’l launches first Lat Am drama
Fox International Channels is to launch its first original drama production in Latin America – supernatural mystery Cadabra.
Pan regional pay broadcaster Movie City Pack (LATV) has picked up the order for the series, which will be produced through the company’s Fox Telecolombia division. This follows the successful production of Tiempo Final, the dark drama that was produced by Fox Telecolombia for US Spanish language pay broadcaster Cinelatino, and Mental, the Fox International Channels series that aired on the company’s main US network.
13x1hour drama Cadabra follows Luca, a 17 year old boy who has escaped from a small town, and the mystery and supernatural adventures that surround him. It stars Joaquin Cosio, who has starred in James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace and The Chronicles of Narnia’s Damian Alcazar.
The show, which was produced in high definition, was directed by Tiempo Final’s Felipe Martinex and created by Argentinean pair Andres Gelos and Martin Preusche. It will air later this year.
