Lachkar confirmed as Shine France launches

As first reported by TBIvision in April, Shine Group has recruited Thierry Lachkar as CEO of its freshly minted French division, Shine France.

Lachkar served as a senior executive at Endemol France from 2000 until earlier this year and is chairman of Mark Burnett Productions France.

While at Endemol he worked with Shine’s distribution arm Shine Reveille International when he brought the Identity format to France.

Shine, which is run by Lis Murdoch, has expanded aggressively into international markets in recent months. It has set up shop in Australia and Germany and acquired Nordic production group Metronome. Italy, Spain and other markets are also on Shine’s radar.
