B’casters buy US I’m a Celebrity ahead of NBC debut
Kiwi and UK broadcasters have picked up the US version of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! The ITV Studios America-produced reality series bows on US network NBC tonight at 8pm and free-to-air broadcasters TV3 (Ireland) and TVNZ (New Zealand) have acquired the show.
The format first aired on ITV1 in the UK and ITV’s flagship digital channel ITV2 has the rights to show the US version.
As well as airing on NBC, an I’m a Celebrity… ‘marathon’ comprising the previous week’s shows and new footage will air each Sunday through the show’s run on cable network MTV.
I’m a Celebrity… will be the first show to bear the ITV Studios moniker. The production unit was known as Granada America before last week’s rebranding.
