Endemol and Bebo tune in to Beat
Producer and distributor Endemol has teamed with UK social network Bebo to launch an online music series Beat.
The Endemol-created show will run for thirteen weeks and bow on June 19. It will focus on new and emerging talent and feature new live content from events and music festivals every day on Bebo. The show will be presented by Ben Chancellor and a competition launched to find his copresenter.
The show is advertiser-funded and the Beat brand partner is cell phone company Samsung, which will have its products integrated into the show.
Separately, former Bebo president Joanna Shields is exiting as the US-based president of AOL’s People Network. It is understood that she will return to London to pursue new ventures.
