Tern TV expanding Slabovia empire

Scottish independent production company Tern TV is expanding its hit multiplatform series Slabovia into a range of computer games and comic books.

The company, which produces the series in association with Channel 4, is in talks with computer games manufacturers including Sony, as well as mobile games developers.

Simon Meek, digital producer at Tern TV, told TBIvision: “We’re in discussions with Playstation to create a game. There’s also an iPhone game coming out in a few months and there’s a comic in development.”

Slabovia, which combines a traditional animated TV series, a digital web series as well as social networking sites, follows events in the fictional People’s Republic of Slabovia, an emerging superpower run by an odd general and his son.
