Sky Italia to remake FX’s No Signal
Italian pay TV broadcaster Sky Italia is set to make a local version of FX UK’s sketch comedy No Signal.
It will air 28x30mins of the series, which pokes fun at the TV industry and multichannel programming, later this year.
No Signal was FX UK’s first fully funded original production and was produced by You Me and Him Productions, the UK indie set up former advertising execs Pete Cain and Louis Bogue. It was commissioned by Jason Thorp, managing director of Fox International Channels UK.
The 10-episode series was a hit for the News Corp-owned pay TV broadcaster, where it rated higher than some of the channel’s big ticket US imports.
The show is also distributed by ShineReveille International, which has sold it to international broadcasters including Australia’s Foxtel.
