Shine cuts raft of pre-MIP deals
ShineReveille International, the worldwide sales arm of the recently merged UK/US indie, has sold a raft of formats and finished series to international broadcasters ahead of MIP TV.
German commercial broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 has acquired the format rights to Reveille’s live musical competition show Fame and Fortune, that pits bands together for prizes.
Canada’s MuchMusic and France’s MTV have picked up P. Diddy’s latest reality series Making His Band. The show, which follows the rapper as he searches for musicians for his next tour, follows the success of VH1 hit I Want To Work For Diddy, which was sold across 19 international markets.
Australian commercial station Network Ten has bought Breakthrough with Tony Robbins, the psychological studio show that follows personal guru Robbins. The show will launch later this year on NBC.
ShineReveille International has also picked up distribution rights to a number of new series. It is selling sketch comedy No Signal, which is FX UK’s first original comedy commission and has already been picked up by Foxtel Australia. It is also distributing The Animated Adventures of Bob and Doug Mckenzie, an animated series that airs on Canada’s Global Television and stars the voice of Rick Moranis.
