Taffy and MYP become Moonscoop ahead of US push

Kids companies Taffy and Mike Young Productions will be rebranded and come under the Moonscoop banner ahead of Moonscoop CEO Nicolas Atlan moving to the US later this year.

Atlan will relocate from Paris to LA in September, becoming executive chairman of the company’s US operation. He will build the profile of Moonscoop’s French-originated series in the US market.

Alex Dauchez will remain in Paris and oversee operations across the whole group. Moonscoop has also hired Brigitte Legendre Benloulou as director, consumer products for French-speaking markets – she joins from French commercial broadcaster TF1.

Taffy and MYP were already part of Moonscoop, but operated under their original brands. Moonscoop acquired MYP in 2005 and Taffy four months later in early 2006. Moonscoop is itself the result of the merger of France Animation and Antefilms Production.
