Disney hires Toumazis replacement
Disney ABC ESPN Television has hired ex-Aardman executive Stephen Moore to replace Tom Toumazis.
Moore becomes executive vice president and managing director, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Canada for the Hollywood studio’s international distribution arm. Moore joins from UK preschool producer and distributor Abbey Home Media. He was previously chief operating officer and head of features at Wallace and Gromit-producer Aardman and before that he was president, Twentieth Century Fox International.
Moore will report to Ben Pyne, president, global distribution, Disney ABC Worldwide Television and Disney Media Networks.
Toumazis left Disney at end of 2008 and joined formats giant Endemol, where he is chief commercial officer, to boost their scripted programming business.
