HBO renews Tim

US cable network HBO has picked up a second season of quirky animated comedy The Life and Times of Tim.

The premium pay broadcaster has picked up an additional ten episodes of the series, which recorded steady ratings when it aired in the autumn.

The show has also sold well internationally with distributor ShineReveille inking deals including UK free-to-air broadcaster Virgin1. Canada’s Rogers Media, New Zealand’s Sky Television, Middle East Broadcasting and SBS Group will also air the show through a combination of output deals and single sales.

The Life and Times of Tim, which is produced by Media Rights Capital follows the adventures of New York slacker Tim, who skates through life, unable to ever make the right decision. It was created by Steve Dildarian, who was the co-creator of the Budweiser Lizards TV commercial.
