Nat Geo inks indie deals

National Geographic Television International has inked a number of deals with independent producers and will distribute their content.

It has signed deals with Canadian producer Cirrus Media and Welsh indie Green Bay.

NGTI will distribute Green Bay’s 1x52mins Rescuing The Past: The Step Pyramid, Egypt, a documentary focusing on the Egypt’s oldest pyramid in Saqqara and the methods of technology being used to strengthen it and make it able to withstand earthquakes.

It will also rep Cirrus Media’s 2x52mins Jet Man, which follows Swiss adventurer Yves Rossy as he tries to fly across the English Channel using only a jetpack.

Separately, Nat Geo TV International will sell 1x52mins Murder In The Show, from 360 Degree Films, which produces NGTI-distributed Seed Hunter. Murder In The Show tells the story of a Tibetan nun murdered in the Himalayas.
