Prentiss Fraser upped at Fox
Fox has upped Prentiss Fraser to EVP at Fox Networks Group, rounding off a distribution rejig first reported by TBI.
Fraser becomes executive VP and managing director of content distribution at FNG, the Fox unit that sells programming from Fox’s stable of international cable nets.
FNG is distinct from Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, which sells the US studio content and which will be run by Gina Brogi from next year, following the retirement of Marion Edwards.
Fraser is based in FNG Content Distribution’s London office, reporting to LA-based Brogi.
She took on control of content sales in the wake of Simon Thomas’ exit and a rejig at FNG. She has now been upped from SVP, having joined Fox from eOne in 2014.
Thomas was executive VP, global sports and content sales at Fox International Channels Content Sales, but has left after 21st Century Fox decided to scrap the Fox International Channels division and move all its international networks into the Fox Networks Group banner.
“Prentiss is a highly regarded and talented executive who has made considerable contributions to our business,” said Mark Kaner, head of Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution. “We’re very happy to recognise Prentiss with this promotion and are confident she’ll continue to grow FNG’s global content distribution.”
“We have seen an incredible amount of growth at Fox Networks Group Content Distribution in the last two years,” said Fraser. “I’m thrilled to be working with our new management in LA, who has been unbelievably supportive, to create revenue opportunities for the company.”
