3 Ball expands ranks with veteran showrunner
US reality TV producer 3 Ball Entertainment has hired unscripted showrunner Jeff Altrock as senior VP, current programming.
Altrock recently worked with 3 Ball on MTV reality series Kingin’ with Tyga, acting as showrunner and executive producer.
At 3 Ball, he’ll report to executive VP, programming and development D.J. Nurre. His main duty is overseeing all current programming, which currently comprises 15 series across US broadcast, cable and digital networks.
Altrock has worked in reality series for the past 15 years, working on series and specials for the likes of MTV, Fox, VH1, Discovery, Lifetime and A&E. His credits include Little Women: Terra’s Little Family, Meet the Smiths and Kirstie Alley’s Big Life.
“Jeff brings to 3 Ball an impressive background as producer and showrunner,” said 3 Ball co-CEOs Todd A. Nelson and Ross Weintraub in a statement. “His creative expertise and keen director’s eye have propelled an array of successful series, and we know his passion and vision for storytelling will complement and guide both our long-running series and new programming.”
3 Ball, formerly Eyeworks USA, promoted Nurre to EVP status in January, handing him control of development and production.
