Trio of promotions at Plimsoll
Plimsoll Productions has promoted a trio of executives a week after the UK indie invested in distributor Magnify Media.
Martha Holmes (pictured) has been named head of wildlife, Karen Plumb becomes head of features and daytime, and Kate Beetham is upped to head of development and executive producer.
All three will continue to report to company founder and CEO Grant Mansfield, with Plimsoll claiming the hires represented “rapid expansion”.
Last week, Plimsoll bought into Andrea Jackson’s Magnify, which bolstered the firm’s distribution capabilities.
Holmes, previously executive producer, has worked on shows such as Life at the Extreme with Davina McCall and Life of Dogs.
She will focus on landmark wildlife series, a key area for Plimsoll, which last month landed a significant production agreement with Smithsonian Networks and Blue Ant International joint venture streaming service Love Nature.
Plumb’s new post hands her responsibility for daytime development and production, as well as her existing factual entertainment showrunning duties.
Former BBC features producer Beetham takes on an expanded post, overseeing an enlarged factual entertainment, features and specialist factual team.
“Martha, Kate and Karen have all played key parts in Plimsoll’s successful launch,” said Mansfield. “In their new positions, they will take on increasingly influential roles in developing new shows for clients in the UK and the US.”
