Armoza’s Hostages to break out at MIPCOM
Israel’s Armoza Formats is launching Hostages, the scripted format behind the upcoming CBS serial, and comedy dating series Guys in Disguise (pictured) next month at MIPCOM.
The hour-long drama series is about a surgeon ordered to sabotage a routine operation on the President after her family is taken hostage and will launch in Cannes as both a finished product and a format.
The US version is set for US air on CBS and is being distributed by CBS Studios International but Armoza is selling both the upcoming Israel series for Channel 10 and the underlying format.
Armoza is also distributing Guys in Disguise (pictured), which is billed as a 30-minute comic dating show from Artza Productions, and How to Be, which recently debuted in NED3 during the TV Lab formats week and won an award for innovation.
Armoza also has a non-Israeli entertainment format for the first time. Prove Me You Love Me was developed by OZ Media and aired on Uruguay’s Channel 10.
Other new series on the slate include primetime entertainment studio format I Can Do That, which was co-developed with Chinese broadcaster JSBC. The show gives celebrities a week to master a new skill.
