Corus shuffles executive pack at Nelvana

Colin Bohm_CE-0175Canadian media firm Corus has reorganised its kids division with new distribution and licensing bosses at Nelvana, its children’s content producer and distributor.

Nelvana sits within the freshly-minted Corus Kids unit, which is run by Colin Bohme (pictured). The division has responsibility for the Corus’ specialty kids channels as well as Nelvana Studios and commercial division Nelvana Enterprises.

As part of the reorganisation at Corus, co-heads for licensing and distribution have been created at Nelvana Enterprises.

Antoine Erligmann has been appointed co-head, Nelvana Enterprises and will manage the global distribution and licensing of Nelvana content in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Andrew Kerr is the other co-head and will manage distribution and licensing in the Americas and Australasia

Jerry Diaz will continue in his role as vice president, worldwide sales & distribution, responsible for placing Nelvana’s new and library brands with global broadcasters and digital partners. He will report to Antoine and Andrew.

Irene Weibel will continue in her role as vice president, head of Nelvana Studio, with responsibility for developing and producing new content for Corus’ Kids television channels and broadcasters.

TBI understands that no major kids execs will exit as a result of the changes, though restructuring at Corus has lead a 2% reduction in overall company headcount.

“Our policy is not to comment on specific details related to personnel matters,” Corus said in response to a question after it issued an announcement about personnel changes.
