Sundance picks up DCD package

Rainbow Media has picked up a package of programming from DCD Rights for its Sundance Channel including Land Girls, Iron Maiden Flight 666, Beyond The Rave and King Lear.

The shows will air on Sundance’s international channels in Asia, France and Benelux. Rainbow has been rolling out Sundance internationally and the package from DCD will help programme the new nets.

Land Girls is a 5x45mins drama series produced by and for the BBC. It follows the adventures of four women working on the land during WWII.

One-off doc Iron Maiden Flight 666 is about the eponymous heavy metal band on their Somewhere Back in Time World Tour.

Blue Grass Films’ Beyond the Rave is a short-form vampire series set in the underground rave scene and King Lear is a televised version of Trevor Nunn’s adaptation of the Shakespeare play.
