ABC Oz seals Review format deal for UK, Denmark and Belgium

ABC Commercial, the commercial arm of Australian public broadcaster the ABC, has sealed a deal with Zodiak for its comedy format Review.

The show is already being represented by RDF in the US and now Zodiak will shop it to broadcasters in the UK, Denmark and Belgium with a view to making local versions.

The Australian show, Review with Myles Barlow, airs on ABC2. The format features a fictional critic who reviews and rates real-life events.

“This is a very funny concept and a perfect vehicle for a rising or established comedy star, it’s very affordable to make and whilst wholly scripted there is flexibility in the format enabling it to run on a number of channels or slots,” says Ed crick, MD of Zodiak-owned UK producer Bullseye.
