Top role for Kevin Maclellan, Roma Khanna out in NBCU restructure
Kevin Maclellan will become president, international television, at NBC Universal International and Roma Khanna is leaving the organisation as part of its much-anticipated restructure. NBC’s programme sales boss Belinda Menendez takes the title of president, international TV distribution, reporting to Maclellan. Both Menendez and Maclellan will be based in London.
In his new role, Maclellan will report to Jeff Shell, president of NBCU International.
The restructure follows Comcast’s takeover of NBCU. The departure of previous NBCU international boss Pete Smith has already been announced.
Shell said: “My primary goal is to form our various divisions into one cohesive International business aligned with a common set of objectives, allowing our talented leaders to contribute to a unified strategic vision of future growth.”
Speaking about Khanna’s departure, Shell said: “Roma is an outstanding executive who has done a remarkable job of building our network business. While I had hoped she would remain part of our leadership team, I wish her much success in her future career.”
The other notable appointment was Rowan Conn as CFO.
