Keshet takes Israeli scripted drama to Cannes
Keshet International is getting into scripted kids TV series for the first time, and will debut an Israeli series to the market at MIPTV.
Keshet and Ananey Communications Group have come together to bring second window rights to Netflix’s new Israel-commissioned, English-language live-action daily Greenhouse Academy.
The original Greenhouse went out on Nickelodeon Israeli, which Ananey represents in the territory. Ananey also owns Greenhouse producer Nutz Productions.
Other series coming through the pact from the teen, tween and kids genres are two more live-action dailies, the 22x100mins The Hood and the 22x50mins Spell Keepers, as well as kids comedy Bed & Biscuit.
The Greenhouse follows a brother and sister to arrive at an elite boarding school for gifted future leaders after losing their mother in a spacecraft crash.
The Hood follows a poor family that lives in a dingy cluster of low-income housing within a rich town. Spell Keepers is an “exciting, mysterious and fantastical suspense series focused on two strong and determined heroines” who strive to save humanity.
Bed & Biscuit is a sitcom set in a small village in Israel, at a family-run boarding kennel for dogs.
