PBS in the US has boarded Lion TV’s upcoming factual series Pompeii: The New Dig, which was commissioned by BBC in the UK, with Arte France co-producing.

The 3 x 60-minute series, which is distributed by All3Media International, is set to reveal a wealth of buried secrets and unsolved mysteries that are waiting to be discovered beneath the volcanic ash of Pompeii.

The new series will premiere on BBC Two in the UK on 15 April and on PBS in the US on 15 May.

Silverlining unveils 2024 slate

Silverlining Right has unveiled its 2024 slate, including a mix of premium factual series and documentaries.

Among its festive titles are Five Star Alpine Christmas, a 1 x 60-minute doc originally produced by Ten66 and Motion Content Group for Channel 4 in the UK; and Christmas At Longleat, a 1 x 60-minute doc from Bright Branch Media for Channel 5.

Also on the slate are Edward And Wallis: The Bahamas Sandals from Yeti Television, Highgrove: The King’s Country House from Wildflame Productions and The Great Amazon Heist from Zandland.                                   

Others include The Great House Giveaway from Chwarel, Wonders of The Human Body With Michael Mosley from Storyboard Studios and Danny Dyer: How To Be A Man from Whitworth Media.

Federation investigates ‘Sherlock & Daughter’

Federation Studios has picked up international distribution rights to Sherlock & Daughter.

The drama series, originally commissioned by The CW in the US and Warner Bros. Discovery in the UK & Ireland is produced in association with Starlings Television Distribution.

Federation will handle sales rights for the show outside of territories where Starlings has already secured straight-to-series orders.
