Dennis Quaid heads to Cannes for The Art of More
Hollywood star Dennis Quaid (The Day After Tomorrow) is heading to MIPCOM to promote his new Crackle series The Art of More.
There will be a screening of the new show on the Sunday evening (October 4) of the market.
Quaid and his series co-stars Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns), Christian Cooke (Magic City) and Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride) will be on stage for a post-screening Q&A.
The session will be hosted by Crackle Boss Eric Berger and Sony Pictures Television sales chief Keith LeGoy.
The show is set in the world of premium auction houses. It is the first premium drama effort for Crackle, Sony’s online entertainment channel, which will release the 10-episode drama later this year. It is written by Gardner Stern (Law & Order) and Chuck Rose (Side Effects).
Quaid plays Samuel Brukner, a ruthless and charismatic real estate baron in the series, which follows Christian Cooke’s character, Graham Connor, a young guy breaking into the auction business. Bosworth plays the daughter of one of the CEOs of an auction house in the series. Elwes plays art collector Arthur Davenport.
The show has been produced by Canada’s Muse for Crackle and Sony Pictures Television is distributing. It gets its global launch at MIPCOM.
