MIPTV 2014: Red Arrow’s Richter to leave before Cannes

Red Arrow International has said this afternoon that its managing director Jens Richter (left) will leave the distributor ahead of MIPTV next month.

Richter will depart tomorrow, on March 25, Red Arrow said. The distribution veteran is leaving the Germany-based company to become CEO of rival content business FremantleMedia International.

However, despite leaving tomorrow, Richter is contractually precluded from taking up his new role at FremantleMedia until January 2015.

In the wake of his departure Red Arrow is led by co-managing directors, Henrik Pabst and Irina Ignatiew (right).

FremantleMedia International is, ahead of Richter’s arrival, helmed up by COO and acting CEO Bob McCourt whose team includes executive VPs Jamie Lynn, Lisa Honig and Paul Ridley.
