Paramount is moving its upcoming Yellowstone spin-off 6666 to its linear network after the Western drama was previously announced as a Paramount+ original.

The series, which makes up part of Taylor Sheridan’s expanding Yellowstone franchise, is set at a time when Comanches still ruled West Texas, following events around the 6666 ranch, which is steeped in the history of the West. As the show logline explains: “The 6666 is synonymous with the merciless endeavour to raise the finest horses and livestock in the world, and ultimately where world-class cowboys are born and made.”

Franchise co-creator Sheridan will executive produce the series, alongside John Linson, Art Linson, David Glasser, Ron Burkle and Bob Yari, with the show produced by 101 Studios and MTV Entertainment Studios.

Its linear move to the Paramount Network was revealed as part of Paramount’s Upfront presentation this week.

The original Yellowstone, while debuting on Paramount Network, is actually carried by NBCUniversal-owned streaming rival Peacock, with its other spin-offs 1883 and the upcoming 1932 hosted on Paramount+.
