Cineflix Rights hires ITVS’ Stephanie Coon as North American team expands

Cineflix Rights has hired ITV Studios exec Stephanie Coon as VP of sales for North America.

Coon takes on this newly created role at the distributor as it continues to expand its operations in the region, following the hire of fellow ITVS alum Greg Johnson as EVP for Americas and Asia Pacific in February.

Based in Los Angeles and reporting to Johnson, Coon will be responsible for selling Cineflix Rights’ scripted and factual slate to buyers across the US, English-speaking Canada, and pan-regional SVOD platforms.

She will work with the distributor’s acquisitions and global sales teams to support the strategy of greenlighting new content from producer partners via pre-sales.

Coon joins Cineflix Rights from her role as director of US sales at ITV Studios global partnerships.

Recent North American deals struck by Cineflix Rights include the sale of Ancient Bodies: Secrets Revealed to National Geogrpahic, and Inside Taronga Zoo to Bell Media.

“Stephanie has a great track record of selling major scripted and factual brands to a wide range of buyers across multiple streaming, cable, and network platforms. As we target further growth across North America, I can’t think of a better person to work with to deliver our sales strategy,” said Johnson.
