TF1 enters ‘Liaison’ with Apple TV+ thriller

French broadcaster TF1 has acquired Apple TV+ spy thriller Liaison, following a deal with distributor Newen Connect.

Produced by Newen Studios’ Ringside Studio in the UK and Leonis Productions in France the series follows two agents (played by Vincent Cassel and Eva Green), former lovers, who must work together to counter violent international cyberattacks that threaten the United Kingdom, while facing the explosive buried secrets of their past relationship.

The 6×60’ series is a French-British co-production, written and created by Virginie Brac and directed by Stephen Hopkins. The show’s cast also includes Peter Mullan, Gerard Lanvin, Daniel Francis, Laetitia Eido, Bukky Bakray and Thierry Fremont.

Sophie Leveaux, artistic director of acquisitions & international drama development at TF1 said: “With its first-rate cast and high production standards, Liaison will be a great addition to TF1’s programming and for streaming on TF1+.”
