Serial Maven recruits Blue Ant’s Julie Chang as COO

Serial Maven Studios in Canada has recruited Blue Ant Media exec Julie Chang as COO and executive producer.

Chang’s move to the Toronto-based unscripted firm reunites her with fellow Blue Ant alums Solange Attwood and Asha Daniere, who launched the company earlier this year.

The company is focused on exploring new models for the development, financing, production, distribution, and monetisation of original unscripted IP.

Chang most recently served as EVP of business strategy and co-productions at Blue Ant Media, which she joined in 2016 and previously held other roles including EVP of international co-productions.

During her time there, Chang headed up business operations for the company’s Global Media Originals commissioning group across Canadian linear and global FAST channels.

Prior to Blue Ant, Chang held jobs including as an entertainment lawyer at Lewis Birnberg Hanet and as SVP of acquisitions and business affairs for Peace Point Rights.
