Mediaset España has commissioned a local version of Fox culinary format Next Level Chef for its free-to-air channel Telecinco.

Produced in collaboration with Shine Iberia (Banijay Iberia), the competition sees three different types of chefs compete in three kitchens operating at the same time, arranged on a large set with three levels, a mobile platform and 30 TV cameras.

The programme is currently in pre-production and is starting the casting process. The 15 chefs who enter Next Level Chef will then be chosen by each of the programme’s three mentors, three renowned chefs with a single objective: to find the next big name in the world of cooking.

Developed and produced by Studio Ramsay, the production company of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, alongside Fox Alternative Entertainment, Next Level Chef has been a ratings success with its first three seasons in the US, while a fourth season of the format is currently in production and will premiere before the end of the year on Fox.

The format has already sold abroad to ITV in the UK, while Kitchen Factory Productions acquired the French format rights to the series in 2022, and Germany, Colombia and Brazil are also readying local adaptations.
