Canadian network Global is preparing to air the first season of scripted series Hidden Assets, after picking up rights from Incendo.

The 12 x 60-minute crime drama follows an Irish detective and a Belgian anti-terrorism cop as they untangle an international conspiracy involving drugs, terrorism, and corrupt business and political leaders.

The drama was produced by Saffron Moon, Facet4Media & Potemkino for Ireland’s RTÉ and Super Channel & Acorn TV. It is into its second season on RTÉ and has been written by Peter McKenna, Morna Regan, Mary Fox and Marthy Thornton, with Thaddeus O’Sullivan and Kadir Ferati Balci directing.

The show is sold in Canada by Incendo, with DCD Rights selling elsewhere. Second season deals have already been struck with the UK’s BBC, SBS and Stan in Australia, Acorn TV in New Zealand, TV4 in Sweden and TV2 in Norway.

Corus Entertainment-owned Global will debut the first season on 5 June.
