English-language entertainment channel AXN Asia has ordered a brand-funded show exploring Malaysia.

Unfading Memoirs will explore the country’s culture and landscapes, with personalities Justin Bratton and Selina Lo hosting alongside food and travel enthusiast Erwan Heussaff.

The show, which is a collaboration between AXN Asia and Tourism Malaysia, will launch on the KC Global Media-owned network in July across Asia, with a social launch planned at the same time that will feature viewers sharing their own travel experiences in cities including Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Sabah and Sarawak.

George Chien, co-founder & CEO at KC Global, said: “Our commitment to promoting travel and adventure is deeply ingrained in our ethos, and this collaboration perfectly aligns with our mission to inspire wanderlust and cultural exploration – exemplifying our dedication to producing meaningful and engaging content that resonates with viewers across the region.”

KC Global, which was launched by former Sony Pictures Television (SPT) alums Andy Kaplan and Chien in 2020, last week confirmed plans to shutter its Japanese linear network GEM from August to focus on AXN, Animax and ONE TV Asia.

KC Global’s Kaplan and Chien acquired AXN and Animax, along with ONE and GEM, from their former employers SPT in 2020.
