FilmRise ups former Paramount exec Jonitha Keymoore to become head of content

US studio & streamer FilmRise has named former Paramount exec Jonitha Keymoore as its head of content.

Keymoore will be responsible for all content licensing and production activities across FilmRise’s streaming operations, including its AVOD apps, its FAST channels and its digital partners.

She joined the company as senior director of global acquisitions in 2021 and was behind FilmRise’s acquisition of worldwide digital media rights to a library of content from Buzzfeed, including the celebrity series Hot Ones, sci-fi series Z Nation and western Death Valley Days.

Keymoore previously served as senior director of content acquisitions at Paramount, where she negotiated deal terms for acquired content across cable and digital networks.

Danny Fisher, CEO of FilmRise, said Keymoore’s “dedication, insights and work ethic” had made her “a cornerstone” of the company.

New York City-based FilmRise was founded in 2012 by Danny Fisher, Jack Fisher and Alan Klingenstein. It claims to house the world’s largest independently owned portfolio of ad-supported streaming apps and FAST channels, as well as a library of over 30,000 movies and episodes across genres, including Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen and infidelity hit Cheaters.
