Asylum Entertainment strikes Lamont Pete & John H. Kelleher first-look pacts
LA-based Asylum Entertainment Group has bagged a first-look deal with filmmakers Lamont Pete and his Water2Drink Productions and John H. Kelleher and his Mohawk Puppy Productions.
Pete has been behind hit unscripted shows including BET’s Sunday Best, The CW’s Pussycat Dolls and MTV’s reality show The Real World.
Kelleher has credits on shows including VH1’s Baller Wives, TNT’s wrestling docuseries Rhodes to the Top, Discovery’s Tales from the Explorers Club and the paranormal hit Expedition X.
Jodi Flynn, president of Asylum, said the duo’s “unique perspectives” would “bring a new dynamic to our work”, with a slate of shows now being prepared.
The move follows a busy time for Asylum, which was backed by Endeavor last year. Since then, it has been flexing its international spending with deals for UK-based production companies DARE Pictures, Soho Studios and Moon&Back Media.
