Ridley Scott’s prodco Scott Free hires eOne’s Sharon Hughff as head of UK television
Ridley Scott’s production company Scott Free has appointed Entertainment One (eOne)’s Sharon Hughff as head of UK television.
Hughff, who was previously creative director of scripted TV at eOne in the UK, will report to Scott Free CCO David W Zucker and president of TV, Clayton Krueger.
Based in London, she will oversee development and production for the company’s slate of scripted programming out of its UK office, which includes Apple mystery Prime Target, the upcoming Alien series for FX and the planned Blade Runner show for Amazon.
Hughff joined eOne in 2022 from The Crown firm Left Bank Pictures, where she spent nine years as an executive producer. During her time there, she was responsible for the development and delivery of shows including The Halcyon for ITV, Strike Back for Sky and HBO and White Lines for Netflix.
At eOne, she most recently served as executive producer on the adaptation of the Amor Towles’ novel A Gentleman In Moscow for Paramount+ and Showtime. Her exit comes just a few months since the company was acquired by Lionsgate for $375m.
“I am thrilled to be joining Scott Free to lead the UK Television Business,” said Hughff, according to Deadline, which first reported her appointment. “I look forward to working closely with Ridley Scott, David Zucker and the entire Scott Free team to build on their exemplary record for making high quality, stand out global content.”
