Alloy Entertainment boss expands remit & extends WBTV deal

Leslie Morgenstein, founder and president of Alloy Entertainment, the US prodco behind Netflix’s You, has signed a new deal with Warner Bros. Television (WBTV).

The exec has also taken on the role of chief creative officer at Alloy, which has been a part of Warner Bros. Television since 2012.

During his time at the company, Morgenstein has produced shows including Netflix’s You, Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars and The CW shows Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries and The 100. He has also produced Netflix movies including You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah, Purple Hearts and Work It.

Alloy Entertainment is also a books packaging firm that licenses around 20 books per year to publishers and then develops them as series and movies.

“I am thrilled to continue to work with the most amazing team at Alloy Entertainment as we look to build our next hits,” said Morgenstein, according to Deadline, which first reported his new deal and role. “I want to thank Channing and everyone at WBTV for their unwavering support.”
