Cynthia Kennedy steps down as VP of distribution at Canada’s Incendo & Quebecor
Cynthia Kennedy, VP of distribution at Canadian duo Incendo and Quebecor Content, is stepping down from the company.
Kennedy, who confirmed the news on LinkedIn, took up the newly created role in April 2022 with a remit that saw her oversee a new distribution unit that worked for the TVA-owned brands.
The native Montrealer has held a swathe of senior roles for companies including A+E Networks, Channel 4 International and Keshet International, as well as BBC Studios and Talpa Global.
“This month I bid farewell to my exceptional colleagues, clients, and partners at Quebecor, Incendo, and Groupe TVA,” Kennedy said.
“My deepest gratitude goes to [VP of strategy & international affairs at Quebecor Content] Yann Paquet for entrusting me with this wonderful challenge, and for his leadership and guidance.
“I’m also very confident about the future distribution activities of the group, knowing that they are in the capable hands of Jean-Philippe Normandeau, Sylvie Langlois, and Louis Pearson.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed the past two years in a position that was very much a dream come true. Content from Quebec is truly world-class and it was a privilege to represent and place these superb projects with international partners – and I know the best is yet to come.”
Kennedy’s next move is not yet known. She remains a member of the Content Advisory Board at the Banff World Media Festival, and said she will be attending London Screenings next week and SeriesMania in March.
