Fremantle ups US exec Kimblerly Kleid to EVP of current programming
Global producer & distributor Fremantle has promoted LA-based Kimberly Kleid to EVP of current programming for the US.
Kleid joined the company in 2015 and previously served as SVP of unscripted, in which role she oversaw shows such as Family Feud, Celebrity Family Feud, Press Your Luck and To Tell The Truth, as well as daytime series including The Price Is Right and Let’s Make A Deal.
She is currently overseeing the second season of Fremantle’s gameshow Password, which is due to launch on NBC next month.
Kleid will continue to report to Fremantle CEO Jennifer Mullin, with her promotion effective immediately. Her new role comes just days after the company bought Beach House Pictures from Blue Ant Media.
Prior to Fremantle, Kleid worked at NBCUniversal, holding roles including VP of programming and development for NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution.
“Our ever-evolving unscripted portfolio has continued to flourish and expand under her leadership, and I look forward to Kim’s ongoing contributions to Fremantle’s success,” said Mullin.
“I’m excited to engage in this next chapter in my career at Fremantle,” added Kleid. “The company has afforded me an opportunity to work on some of the biggest brands in television history, while also helping to create and build completely new entertainment properties.”
