‘Mary & George’ prodco Hera Pictures hires Mammoth Screen & Channel 4 execs
Mary & George producer Hera Pictures is bolstering its senior ranks with the hires of Mammoth Screen’s Charlotte Webber and Channel 4’s Emma Fowler.
Webber becomes executive producer and Fowler has been named head of production at the prodco, which was founded in 2017 by former C4 head of drama, Liza Marshall.
Former Mammoth exec Webber worked on shows including Peter Bowker’s World On Fire and Sarah Phelps’ The Pale Horse, before producing the final season of Endeavour.
Prior to that she spent her early career in a PA role at BBC Studios before moving on to script edit the first season of Neil Gaiman’s Good Omens.
Fowler headed up the production finance team across scripted drama and comedy at C4, with credits on It’s A Sin and Derry Girls. Before that she worked at both Sky and the BBC working on shows including Riviera and The Tunnel.
Marshall said: “Charlotte and Emma are both brilliant in their respective fields – they bring years of experience and will be an invaluable addition to the Hera team as we enter an extremely busy period of growth.”
Hera has been behind shows including Sky’s Temple and ITV true crime drama Honour. Mary & George will launch on Sky and Starz in the US later this year, while the prodco’s slate also includes BBC Three series What It Feels Like For A Girl.
