Turner worked on fact ent shows including Snowflake Mountain, Grand Designs and Undercover Boss for Channel 4, which she joined in 2022. The broadcaster has since all but pulled new commissioning as it attempts to deal with a declining ad market.

Prior to C4, Turner was head of fact ent at Fremantle’s UK prodco Naked and also had stints at Boundless Productions, where she worked on BBC shows including The Apprentice.

McGuile,  meanwhile, has been promoted to commissioning editor having joined 18 months ago.

She is based in Bristol and oversees BBC Three’s upcoming I Kissed A Girl, BBC Two’s The Hairy Bikers Go West, Countryfile and DIY SOS.

She was also commissioning executive for BBC Three’s Dubai Hustle and The Hairy Bikers: Coming Home For Christmas, and before that held development roles at recently shuttered RDF West, Wall to Wall and Firecracker.

The duo report into Catherine Catton, who was named head of factual and fact ent for the UK pubcaster in 2020.

Catton said: “Both [Catton and McGuile] have an impressive track record in delivering high impact programming and I’m sure they’ll make a valuable contribution to the ongoing success of the department.”
