Vice Studios & Blue Ant alum Vanessa Case joins Pluto & Paramount+ in Canada

Vanessa Case

Vanessa Case, the former Vice Studios and Blue Ant Studios exec, has joined Paramount+ and Pluto TV in Canada.

Case becomes VP of content for the Paramount-owned brands and takes on a remit that includes oversight of programming for the streamer and FAST operator in the country.

She was most recently SVP of global unscripted production at Vice Studios, where she had spent five years working across the recently embattled company’s international slate.

Case also spent five years with Blue Ant, rising from EVP of programming & marketing to become EVP of content.

She will work alongside Paramount’s SVP of streaming & licensing Douglas Allan Smith, SVP of programming Doug Craig and Katrina Kowalski, who was promoted to become SVP of international content programming & acquisitions for Paramount’s Pluto TV last year.

“With oversight of content for Paramount+ and Pluto TV in Canada, I look forward to playing a key role in defining and executing the streaming business content strategy across Canada,” Case wrote on LinkedIn.

“Working closely with both local and the global teams across the business, I will focus on maximising Paramount’s internal brands and content, coordinating third party acquisitions, overseeing original content decisions and developing innovative windowing strategies to drive growth in streaming.”

Thank you to the team in Canada and around the world for the very warm welcome to Paramount – One Paramount!
