Amazon streamer Prime Video has commissioned The Money Game, a docuseries examining the impact of the recent landmark decision to alter the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletics Association)’s policy on name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights.

Produced by Campfire Studios, Axios Entertainment, and Shaquille O’Neal’s Jersey Legends, a division of Authentic Studios, the series will go behind the scenes at the 2023-24 athletic season inside LSU Athletics.

It will follow, in real time, a historic turning point in the NCAA upon policy changes set to shape the trajectory of college sports forever – highlighted by the surreal experiences of LSU’s top players, coaches, and administrators.

The Money Game is directed by Drea Cooper and executive produced by Ross Dinerstein, Rebecca Evans, and Ross Girard of Campfire Studios; Erica Winograd, Jim VandeHei, and Roy Schwartz of Axios Entertainment; Shaquille O’Neal, Colin Smeeton, and Michael Parris of Jersey Legends; and Brendan Daw and Drea Cooper.

Meanwhile, Prime Video has also acquired family drama series The Baxters from LightWorkers Media. The series stars and is executive produced by actress, producer, and author Roma Downey as the family matriarch, Elizabeth Baxter, alongside Ted McGinley as John Baxter.

Based on the book series by Karen Kingsbury, The Baxters is a family drama that follows Elizabeth and John and their five adult children.

“With over 25 million fans of the Baxter series books we know audiences are going to love this family drama brought to life, and I am personally so excited to bring more inspirational content to Prime Video,” said Downey.

The Baxters is produced by LightWorkers Media, Will Packer Media, and Haven Entertainment. Jessie Rosen serves as showrunner and executive producer.
Joining Roma Downey and Rosen as executive producers are Will Packer, Kevin Mann, Brendan Bragg, and Jaime Primak Sullivan.
