YouTube star MrBeast is reportedly nearing a $100m deal with Amazon to create a reality competition show from streaming service Prime Video.

The online content creator (real name James Donaldson), who has 233 million subscribers on YouTube, is known for viral videos in which he creates elaborate challenges offering large cash prizes.

According to Puck News, MrBeast’s team recently pitched a show to streaming platforms, with Amazon winning the bidding war.

Details about the show are not yet known, but it is believed to be a competition series following the format of his YouTube videos.

The first instalment is expected to premiere on his YouTube channel, with all further episodes to follow exclusively on Prime Video.

MrBeast’s most successful video was inspired by the Netflix series Squid Game, with challenges based on the show that netted one winner almost half a million dollars.
