Kristin Jones steps down as president of int’l TV at Peter Chernin’s North Road
Kristin Jones has stepped down as president of international TV at Peter Chernin’s The North Road Company.
Former AMC Networks exec Jones had joined North Road in 2022 as the company launched into the market following its acquisition of Red Arrow Studios’ North American production firms.
Jones had worked for North Road, which is backed by Providence Equity Partners and Apollo, from its London office helmed by former Red Arrow chairman Jan Frouman.
The company launched with an $800m warchest for acquisitions and bought Turkish prodco Karga Seven Pictures in June. It also secured a “significant stake” in US-based Two one Five Entertainment in November, having earlier snagged $150m from The Qatar Investment Authority in February.
North Road is led by former Showtime & Paramount Global exec David Nevins, who joined as its CEO last summer after stepping down as chairman & CEO at Paramount Premium Group and Paramount+. He took on the role from Chernin, who became exec chairman.
North Road’s exec team currently includes Chernin Entertainment chief Jenno Topping, Words + Pictures founder Connor Schell, Frouman’s international unit, Chris Coelen and Darian Singer.
The group’s output ranges from Chief Of War on Apple TV+ to Rez Ball on Netflix and Israeli drama Bad Boy. Deadline broke news of Jones’ exit.
